Showers have expanded to three days a week! First United Methodist Church has generously allowed us to continue to provide showers post-season and now has allowed us three days.
So going forward we will have showers on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This is an important part of all of us staying safe in our community with the COVID 19 pandemic still in full swing. SHOWERS TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS, SATURDAYS 12-4pm

We had some growing pains and while we all felt it, we persevered. No positive cases to note. We followed all CDC guidelines. We were prepared. We had a wonderful staff. Thank you to all who donated time and money. Thank you to our staff. We can't do what we do without all of you. We've now had some actual snowflakes fall and the temperatures are really dropping. Looks like winter has finally arrived. Our community members are certainly in need of a dry warm place to sleep for the night.
Please think of us if you're cleaning out your closets and have any warm waterproof jackets or coats that you may want to donate! We'd also like to thank those that have so generously donated up to this point in our season. Clothing, blankets, food, cleaning supplies, toiletries, etc. They are all so greatly appreciated! To our staff: This season wouldn't be happening without you! You've all pulled together during this pandemic and made our community better for it. We know it's been hard keeping up with all of the COVID-19 guidelines throughout these times. From the constant sanitizing, hand washing, screenings at the door, to making sure that all are masked and staying the required distance from one another, and everything else, you've really stayed on top of it all! Thank you thank you thank you! Donations can be dropped off any night that we are open between 6 and 7pm or on Wednesdays during showers from 12-4pm. We were just featured in a Daily Astorian article about the new Carrier Air Purifying Unit that was so graciously donated by P&L Johnson Mechanical! This will help so much in keeping our community members safe during this time.

The Astoria Warming Center provides overnight shelter during the winter months for people experiencing homelessness. The overnight shelter will be open on a weather-dependent basis from November 15, 2020-March 15, 2021.
We are still providing showers at the AWC on Wednesdays from 12:00-4:00pm through this pandemic. Please follow all social distancing guidelines.
